The Client: Brian Oakes

The Brief: Header and character design developed for Brian Oakes’ Amazon affiliate web site Big Ollie’s.

Project Description:
Brian wanted a unique design for his Amazon affiliate site to differentiate it from all the other ones. Because it was named Big Ollie’s I thought of a caveman character. When I showed this to Brian he was quite pleased and so then I created a simple header background with the shillouette of mountains. This gave the impression of a large region (covering the large variety of products on Brian’s site) and a sense of relation to the character himself. I choose a font for the title of the site to match the large aesthetic of the theme and to give it some visual punch. I incorporated the mountains again as a style over this title and to draw the whole design together.

Brian was very pleased with the final design and how quickly it all came together. It was a pleasure working for Brian and I had a lot of fun creating Big Ollie for him.
